How FIND A FUNDI works
Request, get matched with a nearby verified fundi, approve a clear quote, then pay when the job is done.
Four steps, every one visible

Request
Pick a trade, describe the job, add photos and confirm your address or estate. Choose ASAP or a time that suits you.
- STEP 2
Match & callout
Nearby verified fundis get the job fairly, in rotation. The first to accept shows you their callout before setting off.
- STEP 3
Track & diagnose
Follow their trip on the map. On site they diagnose the problem, then send an itemised labour + materials quote.
- STEP 4
Approve, pay, rate
Accept and your callout is waived. When you both confirm the job is done, you pay, and you and your fundi rate each other.
What you get
ASAP or scheduled
Urgent jobs go to the first verified fundi who accepts. For scheduled jobs you'll be able to compare quotes.
Location only during the job
The fundi's location is shared only while they're on their way to your job.
Chat or WhatsApp
Message your fundi in the app or on WhatsApp. Your number is shared only once a fundi is assigned.
Photo record
Fundis add before and after photos and a written diagnosis, so there's a record if anything goes wrong.

Only completed FIND A FUNDI jobs can be rated, by both sides. We don't import or buy reviews. How ratings work
Ratings work both ways
After every completed job, the homeowner rates the fundi and the fundi rates the homeowner. Good fundis get more work, and good customers get keen fundis who come back.

Blind until both are in
You both have 7 days to rate. Neither side sees the other's rating until both are submitted or the 7 days run out. Then both are shown together, so nobody rates out of revenge.
Fundis see who they're working for
Before accepting a job, the fundi sees the customer's average rating from other fundis and how many rated jobs it's based on, or "New customer". It helps them choose jobs with confidence.
Low ratings get a human review
If an account's ratings stay low, our team reviews it. That can mean a warning, help to improve, or removal. Ratings from a disputed job are held until it's settled.
Ratings start when the FIND A FUNDI app launches. Only completed FIND A FUNDI jobs can be rated, and we don't import, buy or edit ratings.
The awkward bits, answered up front
I don't like the repair quote
Decline it. You pay only the callout you agreed to for the trip and diagnosis, you keep the written diagnosis, and you can request another fundi.
I cancel before the fundi sets off
That's free. Nothing is charged.
The fundi doesn't arrive
You pay nothing, we find you another fundi, and the fundi gets a reliability strike.
The job needs more work than quoted
The fundi stops and sends a revised quote. Nothing extra happens until you approve it.
The FIND A FUNDI app is still being built. Until it launches, we'll handle requests from this website by WhatsApp and email, and some app features described here will arrive in stages.
